3/25 UPDATE: Sorry, we’re taking a short break from selling shirts right now. We’re going to begin selling them with the help of a retailer who will handle shipping out the shirts in the future.

This Free Press article explains how Dilla worked feverishly from his hospital room as he worked to get his family out of medical debt.
One of these shirts is based on the artwork from our The World Misses Jay Dee tribute and the other is inspired by the well-known fan-made “J Dilla Changed My Life” shirt which Dilla got such a kick out of at show in Dusseldorf, Germany last December.

Way before mid-April.
I’m putting in the first order in a few days and I should have the first batch of shirts in my possession by next weekend.
Which means people will start receiving them by the end of that week (mid-March).

Depends on my supplier right now Emily. I’m all set to order these as soon as they re-stock blue shirts.
Hopefully they’re re-stocking either today or Thursday. I’ll definitely post updates here.
Once I can place the order it should be in people’s hands within about 10 days.
I’m ordering extras so after the 1st order comes we should be able to keep selling for a little while without this delay.

How long we do this for depends on demand. Definitely next week we’ll still be selling shirts.
We had kid sizes up the first day or 2 but I removed them to simplify things. We have Youth M and L sizes as options. I ordered very few kid shirts with the 1st order but I could do more for a special order or maybe I’ll add them back on this page sometime in the next few days.

To those with shipping questions, I received the first half of the first order today! The shirts look cool and I’ll try and get some pics up tonight.
Our supplier had some stocking issues with certain sizes but he’s sending out the rest of that 1st order today so I should have it by the end of the week. Some of you will have your shirts by then. The rest of you should have it by the end of the following week. (International orders may take a few days longer naturally)
Hans, I appreciate your enthusiasm. I assure you that I’m not a scumbag. By the start of April we will be sending out a fat check to Mrs. Yancey. Some of the money may be tied up at that time in unsold inventory but when those shirts gets sold she’ll get another check. If sales are still going strong and we can keep this going then the checks will keep recurring in this manner.

Hey Brando,
Our supplier had a delay on the most common shirt sizes for the Changed My Life shirts so it took us an extra week to get in L, XL and XXL for the blue shirts. Those sizes came in on Friday but I had a busy weekend and didn’t get to do much packaging. I’m trying to get caught up on shipments over the next few days but we’re definitely behind. Sorry for the delay… please bear with us.

I just order the Dilla changed my life joint.
I live here in Florida and I want to represent the God to the highest.
Dilla did change my life, and he should recognized as one of the greats in Hip Hop (not Rap).
If the only thing this does is make cats who see me ask, who is Dilla??? (so I can educate them)

I live in the UK though I just received my shirt this Saturday morning (1st of April) !!!

Hey Kash,
Me and the shirt printers don’t know anything about British sizes so I can’t answer that question. They did give me this list of the measurements for mens shirts if it’s any help. But you’ll need to convert to your sensible metric system of course….

Make sure to specify which of the 2 shirts you want and what size. Since it’s just the leftover inventory I don’t have all sizes available.
