I told you guys that Dallas Penn and I had a collaboration in the works and if you know us, you know we don’t mess around.
If you can only watch one YouTube clip this summer, this should be the one.
Presenting… the How-To video the world didn’t even know it was waiting for….
The true right-from-the-headlines story of how two young men ordered a double cheeseburger with special sauce, and won the hearts of three lovely McDonald’s cashiers when they used fries for the bread layer.
This is the story of the Ghetto Big Mac!
As Special Ed would say: “Outstanding”.
Although I’m personally too lazy to spend that much time talking to the broad taking my order to ask for all that extra shit.
I can’t even remember the last time I actually set foot in the actual store – Drive-Thru all the way baby.

Surprisingly, this has worked fine for me at the drive-thru too.
Also, Dallas is a shmoozer so he savors his ordering technique of “oh, just one more thing”. Those less silver-tongued can just order it up front.
Some people might prefer the drive-thru if they’re feeling any shame about requesting the extras. On the other hand, the old cliche about “just imagining them in their underwear” probably won’t help. If you’re nervous about a woman in a McDonald’s uniform, you’re probably a total wreck talking to a woman in her underwear.

I just want to let you guys know that you invented the ghetto big mac all wrong. I’ve been doing this for years. For the same TWO BUCKS, you can have the DOUBLE big mac. It’s real easy. Order two double cheeseburgers like you did … throw the top bun away off the first one, place entire second sandwich on top, and PRESTO. Double big mac, complete with center bread.

That is brilliant and I’ll definitely give it a try.
The only thing is it costs $2 for the 2 double cheeseburgers.
Whereas it really only takes a small portion of your fries to make the fry layer in the GBM.
And as Dallas pointed out long ago on his blog McDonalds fries taste better than McDonalds bread.
And face it – you were probably gonna buy fries anyway so it’s not like you weren’t gonna have that expense.
I’m gonna try your version though. Hard to argue with double the meat (no weezy).

cas, dallas and i revisited that same mcdonalds this past weekend. dallas is on some next level shit making ghetto big macs with swiss cheese now.
we created some bemusement by telling the new staff about the ghetto big mac video and its success.
10 minutes later the manager came out to us cracking up and calling us crazy after having apparently watched the video in the back.
good times.
