What did I tell you about XXL commenters?

I was inspired after seeing this comment by ENGLANDREPRESENT to create a new ritual here at Oh Word.

Welcome to the first “First of the Month” award for excellence in “First” commenting.

ENGLANDREPRESENT, we recognize you for your outstanding acheivement in “First” commenting in reply to the Byron Crawford post “Fly Away” at XXL.

First!!! Yes, yes, yes. I made it!! I’m first!!! I’d like to say a big fuck you to Wayne, you batty little niglet!! Don’t care about the show, John Brown looks like a down-syndrome retard on ecstacy.

First muthafuckas

The comment is strong with reminders at both the start and conclusion of the post reminding us “muthafuckas” who is in fact first.

The enthusiasm captured in “Yes, yes, yes. I made it!! I’m first!!” show us that right now life is as good as it gets for EnglandRepresent. It’s reminiscent of a Superbowl touchdown dance or maybe an Oscar acceptance speech.

Sure enough, he even shouts out Lil Wayne – the one batty name on EnglandRepresent’s list of Lil people to thank.

Handled like a true pro, he now moves it along quickly. Lets us know that he’s not here to talk about the White Rapper show at all. Mission accomplished. Over and out. One and done.

For exemplifying the best in first commenting you EnglandRepresent are the “First of the Month” for February 2007.

Honorable Mention goes to Coop who showed up at the same post two comments and forty minutes late but still gave it his best attempt with a simple “First.” Some would argue that this is too basic a declaration but I say why mess with a classic.

You’re something of a maverick and we like your style Coop. Work on the timing and you’ll go far.

And Watch out EnglandRepresent! It looks like there’s a young chick ready to fly the Coop and he could make a run at March’s “First of the Month”.

  6. LMFAO!!! Well if I thought gettin that first was a momentous achievment in my life just imagine the pride which I am raditating right now. I accept this award in all its glory with a great sense of achievment. I would like to thank Mr Kam for presenting me with the aforementioned award. I would like to think that all of my hard hours at work commenting on random hip-hop blogs have not gone to waste.
