Though I had some great ribs and hot dogs yesterday, I recognize that July 4 represents more than just a day for bbq, cold beer and fireworks.
The holiday is also an important marketing opportunity for your favorite anti-establishment rappers. After a hearty meal of patriotism, there’s always room for a bowl of lime-colored quivering dissidence.
So it’s good timing that new music is out from rabble-rousers like Immortal Technique and Nas.
There’s also this fiery Killer Mike / Ice Cube video which is so effective it makes me want to put a brick through my own window.
Still, I bet these guys all had some bomb-ass barbecue yesterday.
