The new site background image shows some mermaids at play from this years rain-drenched Mermaid Parade at Coney Island.
I found it at flickr this morning. Photographer Barry Yanowitz has a great set of photos posted from the event and all are Creative Commons licensed, meaning they can be used non-commercially as long as attribution/credit are given. Consider this post the attribution.
